PERSONAL PROTECTION IN THE HOME - This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and provides information on the law-abiding individual's right to self-defense.   $175 : duration 2 days
 
This 2 day course will include both classroom and range time. Students should provide and expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. They will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook to work with during training and retain for reference afterwards.

The course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law. This is NOT a beginners firearms instruction course and students ARE REQUIRED to able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling (that is loading/unloading and shooting a group) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or possession of Concealed Carry Permit which students will be required to bring with them on first day of training for verification purposes.





PROTECTING YOURSELF ON THE STREET   $175 : duration 2 days


This 2 day course is taught by 2 NRA Instructors and a retired Law Enforcement Officer. Students should provide and expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. It covers real life scenarios that may be encountered outside your home with practical hands-on drills both in the class room and on a live-fire range.

This is NOT a beginners firearms instruction course and students ARE REQUIRED to able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling (that is loading/unloading and shooting a group) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or possession of Concealed Carry License which students will be required to bring with them on first day of training for verification purposes.

These courses include live fire at range. Note: With the exception of range time, no live ammunition will be used at this course nor will be permitted
to be brought to class.

Participants may use their own firearm or request to use a 22 or 38 revolver or a 9mm semi-automatic from instructor.

Due to current ammunition shortages, all participants must provide their own ammunition for classes.
You will also be required to have both ear and eye protection for the range.
